Passionate about simple and well-thought-out shapes, natural materials and colour compositions. Combines logical thinking with individual artistic values, approaching design in many ways. She often starts her work by researching the target group, understanding the needs and production processes. When designing, always wishing to transmit a higher value than only another beautiful object. She loves functional design which makes sense. Dozens of sketches and models are created in parallel, and the result is always a combination of analysis and intuition. “Design, which has many faces, is constantly present in my life. It is revealed in the form of continuous analysis of the function and construction of objects, observation of forms, materials and the most important – people’s life and habits. Design is mindfulness, coherence and patience in search, the result of which are individually created forms.”

About the studio

Calma Creative was created from a combination of artistic passion and love for engineering. They are a team, complementing each other. Ewa is responsible for the creative part and contact with the clients, Jose, as an engineer, is charged with intelligent technical solutions in the furniture construction. They both participate in each stage as it is a long-term process starting from searching for the potential client, preparing the design, building the prototypes and implementing the new product.
In their work they focus on finding solutions and improving everyday life, regardless of design complexity.
